Judge Heath Lane
Hayes
The proposal at Judge Heath Lane looked to create 3 new residential units following the demolition of the existing 3-bedroom house, to form two semi-detached 3-bedroom houses and one 3-bedroom detached house. The internal layouts of this residential scheme aimed to maximize residential units on the site, whilst still adhering to the nationally prescribed space standards comfortably allowing up to 6 occupants with the required habitable space within each property. The materials were carfeully selected to ensure that the proposed buildings were complementary to the street scene and designed with the context of the neighbouring properties in mind. As a result, the materials were carefully selected, with plain concrete roof tiles and red multi smooth sanded brick. The design is refreshing, yet maintains a similar architectural style that is respectful to their built environment and immediate context.
