Rectory Grove is a classic example of the most common type of residential extension, the rear extension. Extending the rear of a house has been a popular and contemporary design solution, that enables traditional housing to meet modern day living requirements. Proposed designs significantly increase floor space and offer new layout options such as large open plan kitchens and family rooms. Rear extensions not only increase internal floor area but also to the value of the property making them a sound investment. At The White House Design, we have carried out thousands of rear extensions planning and structural designs since being established in 1992. The size of the extension will depend upon the type of property you wish to extend and the borough in which the property is located. Many properties benefit from permitted development rights but be mindful as not all properties fall within the conditions and compliance of permitted development.
