Grove Lodge Royal Lane

The Grove Lodge, located on Royal Lane, Hillingdon. The project was the construction of a single-storey, 3-bedroom detached dwelling with a rear dormer and two side facing skylights. The development also includes a vehicular crossover to the front with associated parking and amenity space.  

The project fell within Hillingdon Village Conservation Area and required the demolition of the existing bungalow. It is important to recognize the need to preserve the designated conservation assets of special architectural and historic interest. The design kept conservation at the forefront with importance emphasised on character and appearance. The use of reclaimed brick and roof tiles were essential to preserve or enhance the site and maintain respect of its historical setting.
